Professional Organizer Websites was created by me, Lauren Brown, a thirty-something who works as both a web designer and a professional organizer.
These two professions may seem like an unlikely combo, but they really aren’t so different. Both require handling regular clients, evaluating needs, making recommendations, setting up systems, thinking up fun designs, and last but not least, being organized! (Not to mention, I like the variety!)
I developed my first website in the mid-90’s when I was an early teen. I started professionally organizing in 2014. In late 2015 I began thinking about going niche in my web design business — as an organizer, I’m sure you understand wanting to streamline things! After hearing so many organizing clients compliment my website (some said my website was the reason they hired me), I decided that websites for professional organizers would be my focus.
When I’m not organizing closets or setting up websites, I’m playing music as either a classical violinist or a guitarist in a band. I also dabble in typography and have a few fonts floating around the internet.
“Lauren has been an absolute gem from the first time I reached out to her after finding her online. I love supporting other independent business women, and she has helped me immensely. Initially I was working with a wordpress.com site, and she gave lots of good feedback and assistance to make it the little site that could. After we discussed what I ultimately wanted from my webpage, we decided to transition to a formal wordpress.org site. She advised wisely on finding a great and affordable hosting site and transferred my pages over beautifully. She continues to be my Go-To Gal online, and I love working with her!” — Joy Herbst, Purnima Womens Health
“Lauren co-designed and implemented my new Saint Solitude website in 2011 using WordPress, updating it from its meager, DIY beginnings to an attractive and practical resource for my ongoing projects. She continues to help with bigger picture updates from time to time. Her attention to detail, organization, and kindness are her best attributes and I fully recommend her for such projects in the future!” — Dup Crosson, Saint Solitude
“When I asked Lauren how I could launch a website meeting the needs of my new music composing business, I didn’t expect to have a real-deal dot-com mere days later. But it happened, and it looks fantastic. She created a sharp and pleasant website that did everything I requested — only it looks way better than I’d anticipated. It’s well organized and easy to follow, with an inviting color scheme and font choice, and it gave me new motivation to promote my work. I really recommend Lauren for your project.” — Benjamin Brown, Contrail Sound
“Throughout the process, she always had the answers and experience I needed to make good decisions for the website. She provided me with both options and explanations for topics I had little no experience in, and she was great at communicating her progress along the way.” — Dup Crosson, Saint Solitude
“Sonare is synonymous with creative, compelling design work on everything from logos, ads and posters to intricate websites. Lauren created a memorable event poster that drove attendance at our fundraiser. She has also designed beautiful logos and powerful ads – all with magnificent attention to the smallest details.” — Sharon Owen, Sisters of Mercy Services Corporation
